Poland announced on Wednesday (March 17) it was introducing nationwide restrictions as the daily tally of new coronavirus cases reached the highest level this year.

Polish health minister Adam Niedzielski announced the closure of theatres, shopping malls, hotels and cinemas from Saturday (March 20) until after the Easter holidays.
