MoH: The situation is stable, at the moment it should not be limited to new ones

So far there are no new recommendations or imposition of new restrictive measures, the Ministry of Health told MIA.

The Ministry of Health says that they are monitoring the epidemiological situation in the country and the region.

As announced, the Commission for Infectious Diseases must hold a meeting today to impose restrictions on border protection against the spread of the Covid-19 delta species, which has spread throughout Europe.

Minister of Health Venko Filipce today in a TV appearance at the “Utrinski Briefing” said that the situation is very calm, there is no sign that there is a possible deterioration of the epidemiological picture and for several days there is no pressure in hospitals.

“There are no announcements, there is no influx of patients in clinics, which shows and confirms that the situation is quite calm. We are monitoring the situation in the surrounding countries as well. It is peaceful everywhere in the region. Both in Serbia and in Albania. We also follow places where our citizens go for summer vacations. There is a slight increase in the number of positive cases in Greece, but I do not consider it alarming. For this I consider that during the summer if the situation continues like this, no restrictive measures should be imposed, we are monitoring the situation closely, there are places where the delta type is spreading faster. “But for now, there is no need, and if it appears, we will intervene,” said Filipce.
