French Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot was admitted to hospital with COVID-19, Agence France-Presse reported on Wednesday morning.
Bachelot announced she had tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday after experiencing respiratory symptoms.
The minister’s condition is “stable” and “not worrying,” Le Parisien reports, citing a “source close” to Bachelot. “Her doctor recommended she be under watch in hospital for the days to come.”
Bachelot is the second minister in a week to be hospitalized with the disease. Labor Minister Elisabeth Borne was admitted late last week, Franceinfo reported on Monday.
