Car sales have dropped in Serbia this year, the FoNet news agency said on Monday citing a report on an automobile portal which added that imports of used cars have also dropped.
The report said that the sales of used cars dropped by eight percent in the first 11 months of this year compared to the same period of 2019.
The sales of new cars dropped by 25 percent in the same period, the polovniautomobili.com portal said. A total of 2,929 new cars were sold in March 2019 compared to 1,519 in March 2020.
In April the difference was even more pronounced with 1,042 cars sold compared to 4,258 in April 2019. A total of 17.162 new cars were sold between May and November 2020 compared to 20,752 in the same period of 2019.
